WRITERS’ BLOCK PICS ONLY

Sunset Beaufort, NC (Bo-fort). We were on anchor that night.
Sunset, Beaufort (Bo-fort) NC. We were on anchor.

For some reason I can’t settle on a theme for this post. So I’ll resort to
everyone’s favorite-PICTURES. After all, they are worth a thousand words. I hope you  enjoy our past week’s travels.

Sunset Beaufort, NC from Homer Smith Marina.

Passing by Camp LeJeune Artillery Fire all afternoon. (Good thing I don’t suffer from PTSD)

Anchored in Mile Hammock-Ospreys practicing touch and goes all evening and into the night.

Sunset Carolina Beach. A keeper. Can’t wait to go back. Met up with Kenny Tysor and had a delicious dinner. A real summer/vacation community.

Thankfully the current was WITH US as we traveled from Carolina Beach to Southport.  See how the buoys are leaning?

And a Redhead spotting. (Formerly Billy Joel’s boat, now Jeff Siegal (Ative Captain) in Southport, NC.

Myrtle Beach Yacht Club and Officers Club where we met up with our friend Carol Chace.

Sunrise at a secluded anchorage at Butler Island. Only one other boat. A Catalina 36.

South Carolina’s  answer to Edgartown’s On Time Ferries to Chappaquiddick. A floating swing bridge.

‘em are duck hunters. We woke up this morning to gunshots!

Sunset and sunrise Awandaw Creek. Couldn’t get a picture of the stars that night. But I can say I’ve never seen so many stars. A beautiful, secluded anchorage. We will return in the spring.

I’m assuming this is a Scout Camping weekend. They were cooking breakfast over an open fire.

A week of our travels in pictures.
And lastly, a sunset  from St John’s Yacht Harbor, Charleston, SC.
